Our Business Breakfast and Partnership working demonstrates the forward thinking approach and the importance of linking Educationalists and Businesses together. Not only does this allow proactive working relationships to flourish, but ensures WHP Federation students have the opportunities to enhance their skillset and obtain their desired goals by gaining work experience and up-to-date advice about the world of work.
Our regular meetings are held at held from 7.30am to 9.00am at our Bramcote College Campus and allow for networking opportunities as well as sharing up-to date information that benefits both Educationalists and Business, as well as our young people. Each meeting is followed by a session for students. The details of the meetings for 2016-2017 are below:
- Tuesday 13th December- Year 12 Key skills day
Last term saw our first combined Key Skills event and Careers Fair. The event allowed Year 12 students the opportunity to develop employability skills such as interview skills, CV development and how to make yourself stand out from others. The day was kicked off by Chair of Nottingham Means Business- Simon Gray, Entrepreneur Adam Bird and James Veness of School Energy Efficiency giving inspiring talks on Resilience, Managed Risk and Luck.
The careers fair aimed at Year 10-13s saw our young people speak with university providers and also representatives from a range of backgrounds, which enables them to plan their next steps.
